Congratulations to the winner of this year’s Mervue Equine Broodmare Futurity Class at the Dublin Horse Show – Harry Wood with champion mare Juana Moussarderie, owned by Equine Evolve and bred by M. Franck Duval ✨. Taking top honours on a score of 91 points, the talented mare had already impressed earlier in the week, placing third in the Cruising Six-Year-Old Final, and confirmed her exceptional potential in this year’s Futurity.
The Reserve Champion title went to Mervue Equine Brand Ambassador, Taylor Cummins, with the talented four-year-old mare Rhea-Duela, owned by Eddie Moloney and bred by De Radstake B.V.
Designed to highlight mares with performance and breeding potential, the Mervue Equine Broodmare Futurity Class is open to the highest-placed fillies and mares from Dublin’s loose performance classes for four, five and six-year-olds.
A special mention goes to Harry Wood, not only our 2025 Broodmare Futurity Champion, but also the winner of the Mervue Equine Leinster Summer Tour 2024. Bred by Franck Duval, Juana Moussarderie is by Andiamo de Semilly and out of the Kannan mare Tijuana D’Auge. She has been produced through the hands of several riders including Daniel McAlinden, Greg Broderick, Brian Cassidy, and Harry Wood, all contributing to her success.
We were thrilled to see such an exceptional standard of entries this year, a true credit to all the breeders, owners, and producers who took part. Mervue Equine would like to congratulate all the prize winners chosen to compete in this prestigious class and wish them every success for the future.
