At Mervue Laboratories we would like to r
eassure our clients that Mervue Equine products manufactured at Mervue Laboratories Ireland are manufactured to the highest quality standards in our state-of-the-art facilities at Cork, Ireland. Mervue Laboratories is approved to manufacture under European licence no. αIEC241706, and is certified with Universal Feed Assurance Scheme (UFAS), GMP+ International and BETA NOPS Quality systems.
Mervue Laboratories operates
under the Irish Department of Agriculture, the BETA NOPS Certificate and GMP+ International with annual audits to ensure its code of practice is being adhered to. The BETA NOPS scheme was introduced as a means of managing the risk of naturally occurring prohibited substances in feed used in the Horse Racing industry and at FEI level. Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances (NOPS) are substances which can influence the performance of a horse.
Vigilance is essential to
mitigate the risk of naturally occurring prohibited substances entering equine nutritional supplements. Mervue Laboratories production begins with careful selection of raw materials that must meet our stringent quality requirements. Our suppliers and their systems are assessed to ensure they meet our strict quality requirements.
Mervue Equine products (excluding lick buckets) are continually tested as part of the Mervue Laboratories rigorous Quality Control Programme including GMP+ International, UFAS and BETA NOPS. Mervue equine products are analysed for particular natural contaminants by independent, reputable laboratories before the product is released to trainers so they can be used with confidence.
